I do. I got bupkis. I got nada, nix (actually it’s nichts), nothing. I’ve walked the pooches, cleaned the house, done the laundry, and started reading THE GIVER all in an attempt to come up with an idea for today’s blog. I even thought that if I simply started writing, forcing that dratted blinking cursor across the screen, my Muse would drop in, as she always has in the past, and just take over. But noooooo – no Muse – just Bupkis. Could she have stayed behind in Scotland?

OR IN A CLOUD?
SHE DOES SEEM TO BE FASCINATED WITH CLOUDS…
HMMMMM…
I KNOW SHE ENJOYED WATCHING THE WEAVER WEAVE…
AND THE YARNS WERE SO VARIED – SOMETIMES VIBRANT COLORS DISTRACT HER…
THE YOUNG CARPENTER WE VISITED WAS RATHER DISTRACTING TOO…
But so are secret openings in bookshelves…
She may have gotten hung up at the STORYTELLER’S House
WHO WOULDN’T?
Sheep, however, are not my Muse’s thing – she never would have lingered in the pastures – too loud. Besides, their bleating probably reminds her too much of my nagging…
INVERNESS!
Maybe she detoured back to Inverness – she’d never seen snow in May before…
Ahhhhhhhhh – there she is – that wandering, fleeting figure…

You may have Bupkis as far as an idea for a story goes, but you sure do have a wonderful lot of memories 🙂 I would love that bookcase…wonder if I could get my son-in-law to make me one. He’s pretty handy with that sort of thing.
