Please stop what you are doing – just for a moment – while I make my way to the top of the world,

Greenland - Ice Cap

So that I may honor you, my reader –

So that I may sing YOUR praises –

 Across vast oceans

Iceberg seaOver pinnacles of towering mountains

MountainsDown through lush and lavish valleys

valleys over scorched, arid deserts

desert

So that everyone may hear what I have to say about you.

Yes, YOU…

My Follower  (ewww, sounds too cult-like, a-ahem)  My Reader.

You have been indefatigable, steadfast, super kind, and oh, so supportive of me during my first year as a blogger.

You have stuck with me from my mis adventures in poetry and short stories to the harrowing escapades with my teachers and children. You have put up with my peeves, my pets, my crusades – and more – much more – for an entire year.

There are no words that can express the gratitude I feel for each and every one of you for accompanying me on this journey. So instead of just saying thank you, I’ll leave you with this, an image of the feeling blogging and you have given me over the last three-hundred-sixty-five-and a quarter days
