She weeps. She cries. She howls.
She sighs at man’s inability to use his knowledge wisely.

The Big Ice
Greenland’s ice cap.
Tropical blue melt-water lakes
the size of small countries
rest upon Mother Earth’s head.
Creaking from their weight,
she moans
she groans
Her troubles,
are carried on the wind,
dusting her once pristine complexion
Soot and other worldly particulates
ravage not only her beauty
but
the very existence
of her children too.
SERMERSSUAQ UKARPALUGPOQ
One can hear that the inland ice calves.
Groaning,
crashing
in a clap of thunder
A shining example of transformation
as
her sweet tears
become raindrops

Thanks A. You might want to put Greenland on your bucket list and visit before it disappears. 😦
