TODAY IS A GOOD DAY

il_340x270.722380430_bjxeSeven weeks. That’s forty-nine days or one-thousand-one-hundred-seventy-six hours since my last post.

When I began blogging nearly three years ago, my intention was to post once a week with an occasional lapse only due to post adventure maladies, jelly-fish stings, or extended bouts of sea-sickness – none of which apply here.

So was it the lazy days of summer or the apocalyptic cataclysm of losing a complete photo file into a black hole that kept me from it for such an extended period? Maybe a bit of each, but more likely it was ‘life’ –  exactly the thing that we creatives need to experience to be creative!

This I could happily accept as each week rolled by, but what threw me for a loop was when that silly rabbit from Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland  hopped into my head and constantly dogged me for being late! Late! LATE! It finally took stumbling upon the Mad Hatter in a moment of wild and ferocious frenzy to reel me in from a raucous rant about feeling guilty over it to point out that my watch was simply off.

Now I’m looking at this bump in the road as the detour that pointed me toward a more scenic route this summer – one you might remember that began a little over a year ago
