POETIC PONDERING ON: What rhymes with Wisteria?

An abundance of wisteria
if found flourishing
in Bulgaria
might migrate to Bavaria
causing outbreaks of malaria?
Stropharia?
HYSTERIA!
Especially
if you’re an
appendicularia.

It must have been the intoxicating beauty of this cascading wisteria that inspired my silliness today. It’s not my best poem, but you’ll have to admit, we might never have otherwise learned about another mushroom species or this *stunning little organism*
(hit the link for photos). So I think I’ll just leave you with that…

* Appendicularians […] are tiny tadpole-shaped organisms that create a disposable mucous house for feeding. Their body consists of a short oval trunk and a broad, flat tail. […] [Their] Discarded houses provide an important substrate and food source of planktonic debris known as ‘marine snow’.” *
