Once upon a time, not so very long ago, my children’s feet fit into the palm of their father’s hand – but only
for as long as it took until they’d needed a larger receptacle.
Once upon a time, not so very long ago
Mother Earth shed fewer tears than she does today
but only for as long as it will take for her children
to learn to better care for her and themselves.
Indeed,
once upon a time, not so very long ago
tomorrow was yesterday and today tomorrow
Once upon a time not so very long ago,
the challenge was to capture transition in a photo.
But perhaps the real task is to seek beauty beyond the obvious,
honor another’s uniqueness,
kick off our shoes and dance together
to the music
streaming on the four winds.
I know I’m game.
How about you?
Dancing on the winds? With you? Always!
