‘Tis the eve of All Hallows. Gus embarks on a jaunt
to The Lodge at Devil’s Canyon, his Mummy’s favorite haunt.
Flying in the dark, astride his sister’s broom,
the wee ghoul soars in his snowman costume.
Until *putt-putt-poot* the broom starts to roll—
The gas tank is empty!
He’s outta control—
Zigging past witches, pumpkins, and bats,
Zagging o’er graveyards complete with black cats…
But then – an idea – and
*Poof*

a
FLASH!
Gus warns those below of his impending crash.
Hence, for the first time in Halloween hist’ry
It’s raining snowballs
and for most,
‘Tis a myst’ry.

LOL Gus could do with some flying lessons from young Mr Potter — especially on the need to check the gas tank before taking off. He’s such a nice lad to warn those of his impending rough landing. Cute story, Donna, much gentler than some Halloween stories I’ve read. Cute picture too — love the cat stuck in the snowball 😀

Raining snowballs, I love it! I hear it snows on Halloween in some parts of the U.S., but where I live even snowflakes would be a mystery. Fun story!

Love the humor in this story poem. ANd the rhythm and rhyme is perfect for the funny tale of a witchy goul with a broom that ran out of gas.
There are so many creative ones here right? So much fun fun fun! 🙂

I hate snow, but LOVE what you wrote. It made me smile to think of a snowman flying high in the sky. Such a fun poem to read.

Thanks Chris. I’m no longer a fan of snow either. Unless I can watch it fall from a warm ski lodge with a mug of hot cocoa in my hand.
