A LOT ABOUT ME

After years of diligently fighting my worst enemy – ME – I have chosen to listen to my heart. With pen  laptop in hand, I have begun to seriously write–more specifically, to write this blog and children’s books. At the moment, in addition to a number of Picture Books, one about a distraught hen whose egg yolks have been deemed too yellow, I am also working on a middle grade novel about a chicken who accompanies Marco Polo on his expedition to China. No. I don’t have a chicken fetish, but taking into consideration that I am authoring this blog, I think it’s obvious that I’m finally pushing past being a chicken myself.

513bnHe1mlL._SX342_Besides writing creatively, I have translated a book from German into English:  SACRED FIRE—Shamans and Elders for the World by Sven Nieder and Angela Babel, which is still seeking a publisher for the english version, and I continue to translate similar articles.

When I’m not writing with my personal trainer and slave-driver Lucy looking over my shoulder, I am mostly being dragged over the hills of Marin County by her and our other black Labrador Retriever, Jazzie.

And Jazzie agreed.

Otherwise, I enjoy reading, skiing in sunshine only, traveling, and simply being. I am also an active member of the San Francisco North & East Bay chapter of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Enough about me. Thank you for stopping by. If you’d like to regularly join me, you may subscribe to my adventure updates by hitting the cute little follow button in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. I will always have a virtual cup ‘a’ something waiting for you.

Wishing you all the very best today and always ~ Donna

  1. I’ve been fighting ME too. I’m finally enjoying the fact that I’m a writer and there’s nothing anybody can do about it, except for me of course. I look forward to reading your work.

I understand you have a bad case of archery-itis. Unfortunately I don’t think there is a cure for it. Course you have a lot of great predecessors. I am thinking Cupid and Robin Hood. Hey, Cupid, Robin Hood and Donna. Sounds like the Three Musketeers. By the way, great looking Labs. Also a tip of the hat to your blog. Just wanted to stop by and say hey.

I just want to thank you for following my blog. Seems that I have cornered the market on meaninglessness. The competition is awfully stiff. But I am giving it a run for the money. So enjoy.
